Trig’s Fresh Brat is the Best of the ‘Wurst

 

Visit the meat department to pick some of our award winning Trig’s Signature Fresh Bratwurst.  These brats took home the Grand Championship for Fresh Traditional Bratwurst at the Meat Product Competition at the 2010 Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors Convention April 9-11 in Middleton.  The Competition is the largest of its kind in the United States, with over 40 judges evaluating 1,042 individual products in 35 categories.  


The bratwurst is produced locally in the Trig’s Smokehouse in Rhinelander.  The Trig’s Smokehouse prepares a wide variety of smoked meats in a natural wood smokehouse.  Each Trig’s store has bratwurst, lean smoked bacon, summer sausage, beef sticks, black forest ham, and many other smoked delicacies fresh from the Smokehouse.  The Smokehouse is also available to process venison for hunters.
 

This is only the second time that the Trig’s Smokehouse have entered the competition, but it is not their first award.  In 2009, the Trig’s Pizza Brat was the State Champion in the Cooked Specialty Brat category.
