Today, T.A. Solberg Company, Inc. operates Trig's grocery stores in the Northern Wisconsin communities of Rhinelander, Minocqua, Eagle River, and Tomahawk.

Job Duties

  • Assist with house account reconciling and communication to guests, vendors, and community members.
  • Assist with fixed asset reporting.
  • Reconcile various statements on a weekly basis, including various wholesalers which may require data input and verification in accounting systems. 
  • Perform payroll duties as assigned within the guidelines of the company’s expectations and schedules.  This includes but is not limited to entering time data, performing deductions, entering and maintaining garnishment and levy requests, ensuring system accuracy with associate data, processing and finalizing payroll bi-weekly.
  • Troubleshooting any payroll discrepancies throughout the system such as benefit deductions, taxes, expense reimbursements, PTO entries, and assisting with system errors as needed.
  • Work with third party providers on errors, troubleshooting, or maintenance within the systems.
  • Inform CFO, Payroll Administrators, and HR of any concerns, questions, communication needs, or troubleshooting that needs attention so that the appropriate action is taken in each scenario in order to protect the company and maintain consistent practices.
  • Attend weekly huddle ups and meetings within the office as needed.
  • Assist with projects and events such as charity fundraisers, special holiday or celebration events, or other company sponsored functions.
  • Assist with various audit requirements on an quarterly, bi-annual, and annual basis in the areas of accounting, payroll, 401k, workers compensation, etc.
  • Run and maintain various reports tied to the company operations while maintaining appropriate confidentiality levels.  (Ex:  Sales, Labor, Benefit, Accounting, HR, etc.) 
  • Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential and secure.
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions and verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Maintain historical records by filing documents appropriate using various systems and programs. 
  • Provide accurate and effective document preparation and records management relative to the accounting function in accordance to record retention policies and laws.
  • Prepare checks, including ACH transactions and wire payments, and backup documentation.
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
  • Perform all job duties in a manner safe to self and others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
